About Jessica M. Helliwell:

Jessica M. Helliwell is a native of Southern California. After graduating with Provosts Honors from the University of California, San Diego, Jessica began her legal education at Southwestern University School of Law. While studying law at Southwestern University, Jessica became active in student affairs becoming the Vice President of the Student Bar Association and a member of the Moot Court Honors Program where she was a quarterfinalist as both a writer and oralist in the Cardoza/BMI Entertainment and Communications Law Moot Court Competition in New York City. Jessica also served as an intern for the Honorable Lawrence W. Crispo of the Los Angeles Superior Court where she researched and drafted recommended tentative rulings.

After becoming an attorney in 2003, Jessica began representing clients involved in disputes over contracts, business and corporations, intellectual property rights, collections, real estate, and employment law. Jessica has been lead counsel on over 20 civil jury trials, including high-profile cases involving nationally known entities. She has also served as the Administrative Law Judge for the City of Long Beach, overseeing the administrative hearings and providing rulings on disputes between the municipality and residents of Long Beach.

In 2006, Jessica obtained her California Real Estate Brokers License and is the founder and owner of Esquire Real Estate Group.

In 2007, Jessica started her own law firm and continues to service her clients while being Of-Counsel with Reid & Hellyer since 2017.

Jessica continually strives to balance both a healthy and competitive lifestyle with her legal career. Jessica’s competitive nature started at age 8 when she first began swimming competitively and continued competing for the next 20 years holding National records in the 800M and 1500M freestyle. When Jessica is not practicing law, she enjoys indoor cycling, spending time with her husband and two boys, and volunteering at her church.
